The Input and Dashboard devices are entities that represent a physical equipment - usually TV or tablet - where the workers can insert records or see the status of production.
This was the previous role - tablet - and was under the user page, and now has it's own page.
In the input devices listing page (1) you will find the tablets/equipments created with QR code with the setup type 'Input device'. These are the devices which only have access to the shop floor tablet buttons.
You can see in the image below the Name given to the device upon creation (2), the setup device in place (3) and its status - enable/disabled (4).
In the Dashboard devices listing page you will find the TVs/screens/equipments created with QR code with the setup type 'Dashboard device' which are devices have access to the back-office dashboards only.
You can see in the image below the Name given to the device upon creation (1), the setup device in place (2) and its status - enable/disabled (3).
How to bulk edit the Device setup?
In case you need to edit your devices in bulk in order to associate them with a new Device Setup. To learn more about this check the article on how to trigger the bulk edit option.
1. What happens when I Sign in with QR Code?
You will be able to add a name to the device, select the type of device and the setup to be used (the default one will be pre-selected)
When logged in the user will have access to the dashboard buttons defined on the setup for this dashboard device (you can also change the order in which they appear, the same applies for the input devices).
2. Can I create devices in this pages?
You will not be able to create device users unless you sign in with QR Code.
3. Can I change the type of device, from tablet to dashboard or vice-versa?
No, that's is not possible. If you mistaken created a device with the wrong type delete it in Prodsmart, clear the Prodsmart app data and log in with QR code again.
