You can quickly generate and download the information you need about your Inventory Movements. To access this data, follow the next steps:
Generating the report
1. Go to Reports menu
Click in ‘Reports’ on the left side of the screen, and then in 'Inventory Movements'.
2. Filter and customize your data
Here you can customize your report by adding some columns and filters. ‘Period’ is the only mandatory filter.
You can add some more information to the columns (as shown in the image above, in box 1):
‘Workers column’; - This will display a column with the worker that made the movement.
‘Comments column’ - This will display a column with the comments left on each inventory movement.
Then, you can filter your report by:
‘Movement type’: You can filter by a specific type of movement: Production, Receiving, Consumption, Shipping or Transit;
‘Period’: refers to the time interval of the inventory movements to be presented. You can either define it by clicking on the clock symbol, in a basic (selecting start and end date) or relative way (for example, ‘Today’, or ‘Last 7 days’). If you choose a relative period, you can also choose to schedule the report - learn more about it here. The time interval cannot exceed one month;
'Internal': to exclude or only show internal inventory movements, by default will be shown;
'Shipping': select one if there’s a specific shipping you want to confirm;
‘Production Order’: select one if there’s a specific production order you want to analyze. This option gets available if the inventory movement type "Consumption" is selected.
'Worker': Allows you to filter movements made by a specific worker;
‘Product Family’: Allows you to filter movements for one Product Family only;
‘Product’: Allows you to filter movements for one Product only;
‘Lot/Batch Number’: Allows you to filter movements for one Lot/Batch number only;
‘Produced product’: When filtering just by consumption movement type, allows you to further filter by the movements specific to a single produced product. This option gets available if the inventory movement type "Consumption" is selected.
'Warehouse location': Allows you to filter movements in and out one specific Warehouse location;
'Purchase order': select one if there’s a specific purchase order you want to analyze;
3. Scroll down and click "Generate Report".
If the message shown below is presented, you can choose to generate a report in excel or in pdf, by pressing the desired option.
If the message shown below is presented, you must reduce timeframe or add additional filters to your report.
Moreover, if you already know you want to generate the report in PDF or Excel, you can also use directly the dropdown button, next to the "generate report" one, on the bottom of the page. After pressing it, you have the option to select the Excel (1) or PDF (2) option.
Once you've chosen the desired format for the report, a page will open, displaying a list of all reports generated in the past five days. This list includes the name of the generated file, the report's expiration date, and its status:
Waiting: This indicates that the report is in a queue for generation.
Generating: This means that the report is currently being generated by the system.
Download: This means the report is ready to be downloaded and saved to your computer. By clicking this link, you can download the selected report in the defined format.
You can check all the generated reports, within a five days range, by going to the Reports tab and pressing the option "View Recent Reports".
Interpreting the results
The report itself can be sorted by clicking on the arrows in the header.
After generating the report, you'll see the details about the date of the movement, the product that was moved, the lot/batch number (if applicable), the movement type, the quantity, the warehouse and warehouse location, the unit of measurement of the product and finally the worker that preformed the movement.
Like any Prodsmart report, you can either download it in Excel or PDF format by clicking on Excel Report or Export PDF.
